Aspen Veneer
Aspen
is a generally recognized name applied to a range of Populus species, native to
Europe, Asia, North Africa, and Central & North America.
The sapwood of Aspen is white to light brown, being lighter coloured than the heartwood, which is greyish-white to light greyish-brown and both generally merge gradually without being clearly marked.
Aspen veneer is usually straight grained with a fine, uniform texture.
The wood does not have a characteristic odour when dry.
