Even
though it has certain wood-like characteristics, Bamboo is actually a group of over
1400 species of giant grass, which grow out of the ground in their full diameter,
growing to their full height of up to 20m (66ft), depending upon the species. It
is often called the fastest growing plant, as some shoots can grow 60cm (2ft) within
a single day!
Caramel bamboo veneer is plain pressed to give the full characteristic of bamboo,
and is so called due to its toffee colour - natural colour is available to special
order.
