Cedar of Lebanon Veneered Panels & Jointed Veneer
Cedar of Lebanon is also called True Cedar, Atlantic Cedar, Atlas Cedar, and Deodar Cedar, and grows in northern Africa, the middle East, and India.
The pale coloured sapwood of Cedar of Lebanon is clearly demarcated from the light reddish brown resinous heartwood.
Cedar of Lebanon veneer is generally straight grained although it is often knotty. The wood is fine textured and polishes to a nice finish.
It has a distinctive aroma, which is said to deter moths, leading to it being used extensively as a drawer lining (although it is not as strongly scented as that of Juniper or Western Red Cedar)
