is also called Akpaflo, Bilombi, Yama, Bofelele, Andem-Evine, Entedua and Ovbialeke.
Its range encompasses central West Africa, from Benin to the Democratic Republic
of Congo.
Etimoe sapwood is 5-10cm thick and clearly demarcated from the heartwood, which is a reddish brown and the wood often shows a moire figure.
Etimoe veneer grain is straight or slightly interlocked and texture is medium coarse and there may be presence of resin.
