Even though it has certain wood-like characteristics, Bamboo is actually a group of over 1400 species of giant grass, which grow out of the ground in their full diameter, growing to their full height of up to 20m, depending upon the species. It is often called the fastest growing plant, as some shoots can grow up to a metre within a single day!

Bamboo veneer & Caramel Bamboo veneer are available plain and side pressed. Plain pressing gives wider individual strips and more of the character associated with bamboo, while side pressing gives narrower strips and reduces the character somewhat, resulting in a plainer, straight-grained effect.

Caramel bamboo is so called due to its toffee colour.
