Guarea Veneered Panels & Jointed Veneer
Guarea is also known as Bosse, Kwabohoro, Obobo and Edoucie. It is found in tropical West Africa, from Liberia and Ivory Coast to Cameroon.
Guarea sapwood is variable in width and pale in colour, often well demarcated from the heartwood, which is pinkish brown, darkening on exposure
The grain of Guarea veneer is straight, wavy, or interlocked and texture medium to fine. The wood is lustrous and contains gums. Silica is often present and odour sometimes persists.
