Lenga Veneered Panels & Jointed Veneer
Also called Rauli, Coigue and Patagonian or Chilean Cherry, Lenga belongs to the beech family and is sometimes called Chilean or South American Beech. Lenga is found throughout South America, mainly in Chile up to Patagonia, the most southern point of South America.
Lenga was used in the past as a substitute for Cherry and the colour of the veneer can vary from yellowish-pink to a deep red with darker brown streaks and veining, giving the wood a distinctive character.
Lenga takes a finish well.
