Movingui Veneered Panels & Jointed Veneer
Movingui is also known as Barre, Bonsamdua, Eyen and Ayanran. It is widely but sparsely distributed throughout the high forests of West Africa, mainly in Cameroon, Ghana, and Nigeria.
The narrow, whitish or straw coloured Movingui sapwood is fairly distinct from the heartwood, which is yellowish to yellow brown, sometimes with dark streaking
The grain of Movingui veneer is often interlocked, sometimes wavy, and it has a fine texture. The wood is lustrous and some logs produce a decorative figure.
