Peroba Rosa is the common name applied to a number of similar species in the genus Aspidosperma. These species occur in south-eastern Brazil and parts of Argentina.

The yellowish sapwood of Peroba Rosa is often not clearly demarcated from the distinctive rose-red to yellowish heartwood, which is often variegated or streaked with purple or brown, becoming brownish yellow to dark brown upon exposure to air.

The texture is fine and uniform, the grain is straight to irregular and it finishes satisfactorily.
